Ajit Kumar

Hi Traveller, I am Ajit! I grew up in Medininagar, a small city in Jharkhand, India. From childhood I have been curious about most things — space, animals, computers, science. I completed my graduation in Computer Science at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad. Today, I build software for a living, spending my time on distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and AI systems. I love working at the intersection of these and have a broad interest in all aspects of software — from infrastructure to product to the ideas in between. Always ready to chat about these topics.

When you meet me you may catch me finding patterns and connecting distinct ideas — for example, I play games with license plates in traffic, connect history to technology, present to future. I draw sometimes, write poems and stories but rarely share them, and also have a big pile of ideas waiting to be executed (hopefully will be shared and completed going forward).

Enough about me!

This site is about systems — the technical kind. How protocols work, why certain designs exist, what breaks at scale. Every post starts from a hypothesis, builds something real, and tries to get at the why.

But if you’re curious about the other things I occasionally write about, I’m on Substack.
